THE SOCIO-GEOGRAPHIC PRECONDITIONS OF EURO-ATLANTIC INTEGRATION OF UKRAINE, PROSPECTS AND POSSIBLE RISKS

            The purpose of the article is the disclosure of the socio-geographical preconditions of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, the analysis of prospects and possible risks of entering Ukraine into the North Atlantic Alliance.

            Methods. The following methods were used: descriptive, comparative, historical-geographical, structural analysis and generalization. The methodology of allocation of social-geographical preconditions of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine based on its factors has been applied.

            Results. The preconditions of Euro-Atlantic integration have been characterized, prospects and possible risks, related to the entering of Ukraine into the North Atlantic Alliance, have been analyzed.

            Scientific novelty consists in revealing directly the socio-geographical preconditions of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine and comparison of the prospects and possible risks.

            The practical significance. The definition of socio-geographical preconditions of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine and the analysis of prospects and possible risks will help to solve the related problems and, as the result, it will facilitate the rapid entering of Ukraine into the North Atlantic Alliance.
