CRISIS OF ENERGY RECOVERY IN UKRAINE (GEOGRAPHIC ASPECT)

 

Goal. The purpose of this study is to assess the systemic manifestations of the crisis in the extraction of basic types of energy resources in Ukraine.

Methods. The analytical and synthetic studies of professional materials (literary sources) that relate to the whole period of Ukraine's independence, and especially the last decade, have been conducted. A comparative analysis of the degree of crisis phenomena in various energy-producing industries of Ukraine is conducted.

 Results. The main factors of the emergence and exacerbation of the crisis of the mining sector of the Ukrainian economy were identified and presented, with the aim of developing programs of energy security of Ukraine and their consistent implementation in modern conditions.

Scientific novelty lies not only in the analytical characterization of the crisis Ukraine mining sector, but also the use of comparative analysis to demonstrate the potential of the mining industry in the near future.

Practical significance is the need to use the results obtained to develop energy security programs of the country. The results of the work can also be used as an informative basis for the formation of a system of energy clusters in Ukraine.
