GEOGRAPHICAL ANALYSIS OF US MILITARY TOURISM RESOURCE BASIS (XX-XXI CENTURIES)

Goal. To perform geographic analysis of US military resource base (XX-XXI centuries), that is, to reflect the geographical concentration of relevant monuments in the United States.

The research methodology is, firstly, to provide a brief description of the US military tourism monuments on example of 20th-21st centuries military events (1st and 2nd World, Korean and Vietnamese wars), and secondly, in the geographical analysis of distribution of these attractions along the USA states.

Results. A brief description of the US military tourism monuments is fulfilled on example of military events of the 20th-21st centuries (1st and 2nd World, Korean and Vietnamese wars) and the table is drawn (based on the model of inter-district balance) of relevant monuments distribution along the USA states.

Scientific novelty. For the first time in the Ukrainian tourist literature the characteristic of the resource base of military tourism of the USA is given on the example of military events of the XX-XXI centuries. and its regional (geographical) analysis has been carried out.

Practical significance is to give acquaintence of the US history main military events in the XX-XXI centuries and describe directions of their use in tourist practice, as well as regional features of the resource base of military tourism of the United States in the XX-XXI centuries, that can help in determination of optimal tourist routes for Ukrainian tourists.
