Aim and Scope

Field of knowledge: Service sector (specialty: 242 – Tourism); Natural sciences (specialties: 101 – Ecology, 103 – Earth Sciences, 106 – Geography)

Included in the List of Professional Scientific Publications of Ukraine, Category "B" (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 886 dated July 2, 2020).

Aim of the Journal

The scientific journal "Geography and Tourism" aims to publish peer-reviewed scholarly works presenting original research results in the fields of geography, tourism, and Earth sciences, as well as geodesy and land management. The journal also publishes review, analytical, and scientific-methodological materials, book reviews, presentations of new publications, and results of contemporary dissertation research.

Types of publications: original research articles.

Objectives of the Journal:

  • development of national scientific potential in the fields of geography and tourism and its integration into the global scientific community;
  • promotion of effective scientific communication, ensuring high-quality dissemination, formal recognition, and popularization of research results in geography, tourism, and recreation;
  • publication of relevant and priority research findings by Ukrainian and international scholars addressing current issues in geographical science, tourism activities, and the recreation sector;
  • establishment of a scientific platform for discussing regional and global challenges in spatial development, environmental management, and tourism;
  • support for interdisciplinary research and the implementation of innovative approaches in geography and tourism.

Scope of Publications:

  • theoretical and applied issues of physical and human geography;
  • regional and global aspects of spatial development;
  • geography of natural resource use and environmental safety;
  • climate change, hydrological processes, and natural resource management;
  • geographic information systems (GIS), cartography, and remote sensing;
  • development of tourism activities, recreational resources, and tourism regionalization;
  • international and domestic tourism, tourism policy, and the hospitality industry;
  • sustainable tourism development and destination management;
  • urban studies, regional development, and spatial planning;
  • socio-economic and cultural aspects of tourism development.
